Presentation John Ponjee
My name is John Ponjee, the fourteenth child born and raised in a Dutch family, however I have been living in Italy (Lombardy and the Toscana) longer than I have lived in the Netherlands.
In my 49th year of life, while living in Belgium for a year, I took my first guitar lesson, and as nothing is “accidental” in life, I ended up in Suriname (South America) in 2014 where I wrote and composed my first lyrics during my stay in the jungle in search of gold.
With only a little experience in composing, I have adventured myself to find the right notes, melody and tempo for a written text. As a result, I don’t have a single target of just one style of music, but instead I embrace the diversity of the genres!
As a result, the lyrics blended with the written music can appeal to everyone despite the fact that the text is not in your favorite style of Jazz, Blues, Country, Rock’n Roll and all other genres.
Back in Italy I undertook several musical courses and during my musical adventure I met Daniele Boa, who turns out to be a top sound engineer who now arranges and mixes my music, and Sharon, a Nigerien work college at the garden plant company who is also a photographer and the editor of my video clips. I have been investing my time, heart and money to convert the musical passion step by step into a meaningful musical project.
That is why I subsequently study the “Know How” through courses to become familiar with the use of the social network and the digital platforms to start the musical project as an independent artist (indie) with my own label the “record label John Ponjee”.
While designing my musical website, I also decide to add my own JPmusicAPP, which you can download from my page WEBSTORE. The goal is to update the App step by step the from the more than 40 songs written and composed of different arguments.
On my page MY SONGS you will find a video trailer and a short explanation for the chosen arguments of my songs and on the FAN Page you can download the lyrics and chords in several languages. I wish you a lot of fun watching and listening!
